Congregation Dibrot Eliyahu

Dibrot Eliyahu, a warm welcoming place to daven, serves the many needs of Rhawnhurst's growing Sephardi and Israeli community. It is also the home of the Northeast Philadelphia Community Kollel. In general Shabbat and holiday davening follows the Edut Mizrach or Sephardi traditions while weekday minyans usually follow Ashkenaz tradition. Shabbat morning services are followed by a communal lunch. Shacharis Sunday service is followed by Torah class and breakfast. Friday Mincha: Winter at 5 minutes after candle lighting; Summer at 7 PM. Shabbos Mincha: Seudah Slishi followed by Maariv. During Nissan only: Mincha Sun through Thurs at 1: 45 instead of 2: 45.
