Shorts are not permitted inside the synagogue. While davening a telephone may not be used and you are asked to respect your fellow. There is a midrash and a mikveh. Many members speak French, Yiddish, German, Ivrit or English. Some members are Francophone while others are not. Lessons are offered in Yiddish and the Rabbi often holds meetings in Yiddish. The synagogue hosts a diverse range of people from all over the globe in addition to the majority Quebec population, they have Jews from all over Canada, USA, Europe, Israel, Morocco or Yemen. Women are seated separately from men and during the weekday attend an entirely different shul. You may not smoke inside the synagogue or bring in pork / swine as this animal is not kosher and the synagogue follows the Jewish laws and traditions.
